ChatGPT Voice is more than dictation

The official announcement introduces hands-free work on macOS and Windows. OpenAI documentation explains that Voice works across Chat, Work and Codex in the desktop app to discuss ideas, start work, check progress and change direction without returning to typing.

Voice supports natural turn-taking. Users can interrupt, ask follow-up questions or redirect the task while work is in progress.
